Leftist icon, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (87) was hospitalized with an infection today. She was admitted and underwent a treatment for an inflamed gall bladder, acute cholecystitis. Her health has been in the spotlight before, as she had colorectal cancer in 1999 and pancreatic cancer in 2009.
She has been attempting to keep her seat in the Supreme Court until the next Democratic President is in office. If there are complications, President Trump could have a third Supreme Court nomination. The Court already has a conservative majority 5 to 4.
The statement assured,
“The justice is resting comfortably."
It is expected that she will be present through virtual conference on Wednesday morning (the first time in history that the Supreme Court will be doing so).
