Joyner Lucas Morphs Into Will Smith for A Song
In this song Joyner Lucas sings about his idol Will Smith, and how Will has shaped who he is. He makes many references to Movies, and TV Shows that Will starred in, Most Often, 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘩 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘦𝘭-𝘈𝘪𝘳.
The music video deffinatley lives up to the song, with Joyner morphing into characters Will Smith played, on movies like 𝘉𝘢𝘥 𝘉𝘰𝘺𝘴, 𝘈𝘭𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯, 𝘔𝘐𝘉, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘶𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘺𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴, and more. The well put-together video has him transitioning from movie, to movie through changing rooms and backround sets. At the end, Joyner is looking in the mirror, and on the other side, is a deepfake of Will Smith. Perfect ending to this song.
After Joyner released the song, Will Smith posted on instagram using the hashtag "#Humbled", and said "Joyner Lucas, yo, that joint is crazy. dude i am humbled and honored. one of the lines you say in there, 'you inspire people and you dont even know it' it has been my intention from day one to put positive energy, and to be able to use my creation to inspire and elevate and empower, i just love what you done, its creative, and again brother, humble, and i hope to meet you someday."
To which Joyner replied with a post saying "is this real life??? Bruh i need to take a cold shower and wake up. I'm dreaming right now."
Joyner Lucas released this song as a single, days before he released his album 𝘈𝘋𝘏𝘋. after released, it quickly jumped to #1 Trending on YouTube.
in the song you may notice he doesn't curse, and that's a reference to will smith too. in all of Will's music, he doesn't cuss. this being the first song that isn't explicit by Joyner, there is no telling if he will continue to be non-Explicit, or not.
